What Is Inside the GMC Hummer EV Cabin

Most write-ups of the Hummer EV describe one interior and stop there. GMC publishes the truck differently. The figures it puts in writing split by trim and by body style, and that split is wider than most descriptions admit.

So start with which Hummer EV you are standing in front of. Below, the cabin is walked feature by feature against GMC’s own trim data, and where GMC’s figures stop, we say so.

Keep reading below, then schedule a test drive near Katy. Bringing your own numbers to the lot settles this faster than any spec sheet.

Two trims carry the 2026 Hummer EV cabin

GMC lists two Hummer EV trims, the 2X and the 3X, and the same pair carries across the pickup and the SUV. Both bodies start at $97,200 for the 2X and $105,300 for the 3X. There is no Edition 1 in the current lineup, so every cabin description you read was about one of those two trims.

Those are national starting MSRPs. They leave out freight, tax, title, license, and dealer fees.

Term What it means on a Hummer EV
2X The entry trim on both the pickup and the SUV, $97,200 starting MSRP
3X The higher trim on both bodies, $105,300 starting MSRP
Extreme Off-Road Package A package GMC lists on the 2X, which raises published power to up to 635 hp
eTrunk GMC’s name for the enclosed storage compartment ahead of the cabin
Up to A ceiling for one specific build. A different build can land lower.

Horsepower is the split GMC states most plainly

GMC publishes power trim by trim, and it is the cleanest division in the lineup. On the pickup, the 2X is listed at up to 570 horsepower, the 2X with the Extreme Off-Road Package at up to 635, and the 3X at up to 830. Add the 24-module battery pack to a Pickup 3X and GMC lists up to 1,160.

The SUV mirrors the first three numbers: up to 570 on the 2X, up to 635 with the Extreme Off-Road Package, and up to 830 on the 3X.

Power shapes the cabin more than it sounds like it should, because the hardware that makes it also decides what you give up. Mud-terrain tires on the Extreme Off-Road Package bring the EPA figure down to 289 miles (Edmunds, 2026). That is a cabin decision as much as a trail one, since it changes how often you plan a stop on a drive to Austin.

Super Cruise puts hands-free driving in the Hummer EV

Super Cruise is listed on the Hummer EV, and it is the piece of cabin technology GMC’s own vehicle data confirms for this truck. It steers, speeds up, and slows down on mapped roads while a camera watches your eyes. GM has grown the network to about 750,000 miles of compatible roads across the US and Canada.

The feature you touch every day is smaller than that. Edison Research found 28% of American adults who drove in the past month have Apple CarPlay in their primary vehicle, and 22% use it (Edison Research, 2025). Pair your own phone on the test drive, with your own cable and your own apps, and watch how fast it connects the second time.

But GMC does not publish the seat and climate list by trim

Heated seats, ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, climate zones, audio, and the wireless charging pad are the cabin items buyers ask about most, and GMC’s published Hummer EV trim data does not break them out by trim. We are not going to fill those gaps with a number nobody published. Confirm each one on the window sticker of the truck you are buying.

Here is what to read for, in order:

  • Heated and ventilated front seats. Ask which trim the truck is, then find both words on the sticker. Heated and ventilated are two separate features and they do not always arrive together.
  • Heated steering wheel. A short line that is easy to skim past, and easy to miss until January.
  • Climate zones. Two zones, three zones, and rear controls are three different things. Sit in the second row and look for a panel.
  • Wireless charging pad. Pads differ in speed. Qi2 25W, launched by the Wireless Power Consortium in July 2025, delivers up to 25 watts, nearly 70% more power than the original Qi2 (Wireless Power Consortium, 2025). Put your phone on the pad and see what happens.
  • Audio. Speaker counts move with trim and package on most vehicles, so read the sticker instead of the brochure.
  • Roof panels. Ask whether the truck in front of you has removable panels, where they store when they come off, and who lifts them.

Ventilated seats earn more in Cypress than the brochure suggests. Cooling a cabin costs range in an electric truck, and AAA found EVs lose 8.5% of driving range at 95°F compared with a 75°F baseline (AAA, 2026). A seat that moves air across your back takes some of that work off the air conditioning.

The eTrunk holds 11.3 cubic feet before you reach the load area

GMC’s Hummer EV Pickup spec sheet puts maximum front eTrunk volume at 11.3 cubic feet. That is enclosed, lockable space ahead of the cabin, and it is where most owners put the things they do not want loose behind them. It changes how you pack far more than any cupholder count.

Cargo area Published volume Source
Hummer EV Pickup front eTrunk 11.3 cu ft maximum GMC Hummer EV Pickup spec sheet
Hummer EV Pickup open bed 36.7 cu ft GM Authority, 2025
Hummer EV SUV behind the second row 35.9 cu ft enclosed GM Authority, 2025
Hummer EV SUV, second row folded 81.8 cu ft enclosed GM Authority, 2025
Hummer EV SUV front eTrunk No figure published in GMC’s Hummer EV SUV data Measure the vehicle

The last row is the honest one. GMC publishes the 11.3-cubic-foot eTrunk figure on the pickup, and we have no published SUV number to put beside it. Open the hood on the SUV and put your own cooler in it.

Pick the SUV when the cargo has to stay locked and dry

The pickup and the SUV share trim names, starting prices, and published power. Where they separate is the load area. The SUV encloses its cargo and locks it. The pickup leaves the bed open for tall, dirty, or awkward loads that would never go inside a vehicle.

Range rarely settles it. Edmunds puts the EPA rating at 318 miles for the Pickup 2X and 315 for the SUV 2X, with both 3X models at 312 (Edmunds, 2026).

What your week looks like Price this configuration first Why
You haul lumber, dirt bikes, or muddy gear Hummer EV Pickup 2X A 36.7 cu ft open bed takes loads you would never put inside
You carry kids, groceries, and luggage Hummer EV SUV 2X 81.8 cu ft of enclosed, lockable space with the second row folded
You want the highest power GMC publishes Hummer EV Pickup 3X Up to 1,160 hp with the 24-module battery pack
You leave pavement most weekends Hummer EV 2X, Extreme Off-Road Package Up to 635 hp, with an EPA figure of 289 miles on mud-terrain tires
You drive long highway days Hummer EV Pickup 2X 318 miles is the highest EPA rating in the Hummer EV lineup

How the four Hummer EV configurations compare

Choosing a Hummer EV comes down to two bodies and two trims, and those four combinations answer four different questions. Here is how they line up on price, published power, EPA range, and cargo.

Configuration Starting MSRP Published horsepower EPA range Cargo
Hummer EV Pickup 2X $97,200 Up to 570 hp 318 miles 11.3 cu ft eTrunk plus a 36.7 cu ft open bed
Hummer EV Pickup 3X $105,300 Up to 830 hp, or 1,160 hp with the 24-module battery 312 miles 11.3 cu ft eTrunk plus a 36.7 cu ft open bed
Hummer EV SUV 2X $97,200 Up to 570 hp 315 miles 35.9 cu ft enclosed, 81.8 cu ft with the second row folded
Hummer EV SUV 3X $105,300 Up to 830 hp 312 miles 35.9 cu ft enclosed, 81.8 cu ft with the second row folded

Prices are national starting MSRPs. EPA range figures are as published by Edmunds (Edmunds, 2026), and cargo volumes come from the sources named in the storage section above.

Frequently asked questions

How many seats does the GMC Hummer EV have?

GMC’s published Hummer EV trim data does not list a seat count, so we will not print one. Sit in the second row of the exact truck you are considering and check the belt count yourself, since that is the only number that applies to the vehicle you would drive home.

Does the Hummer EV SUV have a front eTrunk?

GMC publishes an 11.3-cubic-foot maximum eTrunk volume on the Hummer EV Pickup spec sheet, and we have no matching published figure for the SUV. Open the hood on the SUV in front of you and load it with the bag or cooler you actually carry.

How fast does a GMC Hummer EV charge?

The Hummer EV runs an 800-volt architecture and accepts DC fast charging at up to 350 kW on the pickup and up to 300 kW on the SUV. Real charging speed depends on the station, the battery temperature, and the state of charge when you plug in.

Does the factory warranty cover the Hummer EV’s cabin electronics?

Yes. GMC covers the Hummer EV with a bumper-to-bumper limited warranty for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, and a powertrain limited warranty that typically runs five years or 60,000 miles. Screens, climate controls, and audio sit inside the bumper-to-bumper layer.

Do the pickup and SUV have the same dashboard layout?

GMC’s published trim data separates the two bodies on cargo volume and EPA range, and it does not describe a difference in dashboard layout. Sit in both on the same visit, since 10 minutes in each seat answers this better than any spec sheet.

Is the Hummer EV 3X worth $8,100 more than the 2X?

It is if you want the higher power ceiling, since GMC lists the 3X at up to 830 horsepower, or up to 1,160 on the Pickup 3X with the 24-module battery, against up to 570 on the 2X. If your week is commuting and hauling, the 2X carries the same cargo volumes, holds the highest EPA range in the lineup on the pickup, and leaves $8,100 in your pocket.

There is no single Hummer EV interior to describe

Four configurations sit under one nameplate, and the numbers GMC publishes split by trim and by body every time. Price, power, range, and cargo are all in writing. Seats, climate zones, audio, and the charging pad are decided on the window sticker of one specific truck.

So the useful move is to read that sticker with someone who reads them all week, in the truck itself, before anything gets signed.

How Group 1 Buick GMC North reads a Hummer EV window sticker with you

Because the seat and climate list is not published by trim, the window sticker is where the Hummer EV cabin question actually gets answered, and we go through it line by line with you on the vehicle itself. We hold 4.4 stars across 7,792 Google reviews, the highest review count of any Buick or GMC dealership in the Katy area, along with 4.4 stars across 1,474 DealerRater reviews. In an August 2026 Cars.com review, Linda L. wrote: “I received excellent service by Ron, my assigned service consultant. He listened to the issues I was having with my vehicle and provided me with some scenarios about the possible issues and laid out a timeline of when I could expect my car to be looked at and when the timing of the repairs. Throughout the entire experience, Ron kept in touch with me and provided updates on my vehicle. I especially like the way that the issues were reviewed with me via video and was given the option of having the service completed or rejecting it without the constant pressure or looking over my shoulder. I appreciate the honesty of the service consultant and from the dealership. I truly felt like a customer rather than just a number!”

A May 2026 DealerRater reviewer put the sales side this way: “This was the best car shopping experience we’ve had. Lee was an excellent representative of Buick Group 1 very transparent, thorough, knowledgeable and extremely kind. We enjoyed doing business with him.” And from a July 2026 Carfax review, on the service drive: “They were able to diagnose, get approval from my warranty company, and repair my vehicle all in one day.”
